Résumé
A partir d’un matériau littéraire, le Journal du roman La Part de l’autre d’E.-E. Schmitt, l’article propose une interrogation du rapatriement de la figure du monstre dans la condition humaine partagée. Les résistances à cette manoeuvre littéraire seront observées et mises en regard du travail de praticiens cliniciens ayant quotidiennement affaire à des monstres. Le concept de « contagion pathique » sera proposé en vue de montrer en quoi le fait même de « traiter » peut conduire à « se faire traiter de »… offrant alors la possibilité de comprendre les résonances réciproques entre les diverses significations d’un verbe qui anime les dispositifs thérapeutiques et se voit conjugué par celles et ceux qui y oeuvrent.

Abstract
From a literary material, “Le Journal” of the novel La Part de l’autre of E.-E. Schmitt, the article proposes an interrogation of the repatriation of the figure of the monster in the human condition. The resistances against this operation will be examined and put compared to the work of the clinicians having to deal with the aforementioned monsters. The concept of " pathique contagion " will be examined to show in what the fact of “traiter” could lead “à être traité de”, offering then the possibility to understand the mutual echos between the diverse meanings of a verb which animates the therapeutic devices and sees itself conjugated by those which support them.
